The Texas Alternative- Home School is a Texas, private, non-profit, non-traditional, secondary education “home” school in which is Texas state law compliant and offers a Texas state law compliant home school setting. We conduct analysis tests and homeschooling services for our students, ages 14 and up, whom upon completion, graduate with a High School Diploma and have equivalent rights as traditional high school graduates from a traditional, public high school and GED graduates in the state of Texas. We believe that a high school diploma can be a key tool for putting an individual on the right track to succeed, so TAHS strives to reach every student possible who can benefit from our services. We also offer an ESL (English as a Second Language) High School Diploma Program, where we provide exams and curriculum in Spanish.

Below is a description of each program. Parent(s) or guardian(s) is/are required to accompany minors (ages 14-17), and an “official” high school transcript is required for enrollment. Diplomas and “official” high school transcripts are distributed within 4-6 weeks upon completion of the program. Instead of public high schools dropping their students, they have an opportunity to transfer them to our private school. Graduation Ceremonies are held every year and each graduate is given graduation information in their completion packet.
