My husband is now a correctional officer for Ector County & has short & long-term goals in this career. We appreciate you & the program so much!! Thank you, you guys are amazing for what you do!! Life throws so many curve balls at you growing up that when you don’t have that right support at the right time, it hinders you long term. However, when you give someone the opportunity and option you guys provided, you prove to many it’s never too late to start a new beginning. I’m so proud of my husband but without this program, I can’t imagine how long his dreams would have been prolonged. I was never going to give up on him but you can overwhelm people eventually to the point they can stop believing in themself. I am Mindy Aguilar and I graduated from Texas Alternative Home School on September 7, 2018. As of right now, I'm attending Odessa College and taking classes to become a registered nurse. I was able to qualify for financial aid.
I have to give a big THANKS to “TAHS” and Dr. Shawn W. Clark for all the help that’s been provided for not one, but two of my daughters. Marissa Rodriguez got her diploma last year and was rewarded with financial aid she is now using to enroll at Midland College and wants to study STEM (Chemistry). My youngest Joselyn Rodriguez is finishing up with her books so she can also look towards the future in being a Nurse Aide (Health & Wellness). Thank you “TAHS” for all that has been done for my family. TOWARDS THE FUTURE, PROUD MAMA.
